What the sequence means

The committee draft opened in July 2025 and closed its comment period in September. The DIS ballot ran from February to April 2026. The DIS was approved for registration as an FDIS in August 2026, and the FDIS was registered on 21 August 2026. The next recorded step is the eight-week FDIS ballot, but its start date is not on the page.

Why we do not call it published

No published edition exists. A document at stage 50.00 cannot be cited as an International Standard, cannot be certified against, and may still change. The public view is the DIS, not the FDIS. Any paper that describes the FDIS clauses as settled is ahead of the record.
